Stone Lake
Why visit
Lake Kari is located on the slopes of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of about 3,200 meters above sea level. It is one of the highest and most beautiful lakes in Armenia.
The lake is surrounded by the high mountains of Aragats, and snow can be seen here during much of the year. Lake Kari is especially impressive in summer, when its blue waters contrast with the rocky mountain slopes.
Lake Kari is also an important starting point for climbing the peaks of Mount Aragats. Several popular hiking and mountaineering routes begin here.
For tourists, Lake Kari is a wonderful place to enjoy nature, take beautiful photographs, and experience the spectacular high-altitude landscapes of Armenia.
