Why visit
Wings of Tatev is one of Armenia’s most famous tourist attractions. The cableway connects Halidzor village with the Tatev Monastery complex, crossing the spectacular Vorotan Gorge.
The cableway is about 5.7 km long, and the journey takes approximately 12 minutes. During the ride, passengers can enjoy breathtaking views of the rocky Vorotan Gorge, forests, and the beautiful mountains of Armenia.
Opened in 2010, Wings of Tatev is considered one of the world’s longest continuously operating reversible aerial tramways.
The cable-car ride itself is an important part of the tour, offering spectacular views of Tatev Monastery and the surrounding mountains.
