Yerevan

Yerevan combines a walkable central district with viewpoints and museums that explore Armenia's long history. Republic Square is a natural starting point, surrounded by stone architecture, museums and public spaces. A walk along Northern Avenue leads toward the Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Cascade Complex, whose terraces are known for sculptures and views across the city.

Visitors interested in history can explore the Matenadaran manuscript institute and Erebuni, associated with the city's ancient origins. The capital is also the departure point for many of Tour Armenia's day trips to Garni, Lake Sevan and southern Armenia.
